My Mixed-Media-Montages...

... are "unique": mixed in my solely, expressive, colourful way.

I wish, they may impress you with their colours and meanings.

And please: let me even dream for a short while, that they are able

to change your look on our daily life for a short while. Will you?

Mädchen unter Säulen, 2014, Mixed-Media-Montage

In the year 1914 the Brücke-painter August Macke finished

one of his most famous pictures "Mädchen unter Bäumen":

in English known as: "Girls In The Forest."

Although he was just 27 years old, he already had created hundreds

of outstanding pictures. And although he was just 27 years old,

he died some months later in september 1914 in the World War I.

Precisely 100 years later, I spent some early summer days in Berlin and

I tried to lean on his work, when I created my Mixed-Media-Assemblage

"Girls Under Ancient Pillars". I don't know, how far I failed.

Obviously I used different methods and materials, in harmony with

the appearances of time, we live in and cannot escape from.

Although many conservative reviewer reject every new movement

in their common, but stupid pose of reverse gear. (Even photography

is still not accepted as adequate art by every curator of art history.)

But next generation will wipe out this opinion as it always happened

through the history of art till now:

The only continuity in life is that of the eternal change.

My montages are just my own way to express my positive feelings:

on the first hand to continuity and on the other hand to the "get going",

both in human art and in human life.

Oh, these pictures are terrific! But how did you do all that?

I am professional photographer since decades now and I had some

exhibitions with classical black and white photography in the eighties.
Two museums bought a serie of black and white photographs each:

"UnterwegS - people in public transport", a close reportage of daily life

in the tubes and suburban trains of West-Berlin from 1979 to 1981. And

"Couples in concerts of different music-genres", a kind of sociology-work

in the mid-eighties with my camera in West-Berlin. I won a prize for that work.

Because it was impossible to live on that in Germany at that time, I stopped

with my artistic documentary photography and illustrated more than 50 books:
documentary-books for children, school books and reference books for education.

Besides that I paint in oil for several years now. Since then it took me

some years to get the idea of mixing materials and medias. But any idea is not

the end of work: It's just the start of a long journey through attempts and efforts.

Therefore it took me some more years to develop my special way of
composing the colours, the meanings and the feelings in my astoundingly way.

If you read art magazines and visit art-fairs , you may know, that it's one of a kind.

Performances! Video-installations! Assemblages! Ready-mades! Photography! Concept-art! Land-art!

What is art? And how is any single work having influence on us?

I would be happy to discuss more about art and about my work.

But the internet seems to be a one-way-road. Therefore, after

one and a half year, I am searching for the old fashioned way now:
an established gallery. It's not mainly, because I think they can sell more,

but because of the intense contact and discussions with people,

who are really interested in art, and, of course: with art experts.

Increasingly: for me the main questions are

(and I ask especially you, while you look at my pictures right now):

Do you accept my mixed-media-montagess as adequate art?

What do you feel, when you look at my creations of art?

Are some of them able to move you inside? Your mind?

Your feelings? Which of those pictures impressed you most?

What do the pictures do to your way of looking at life?

Do they change your point of view at all?

And, of course: Are you going to buy one or some of them?

Although my pictures are digital works, they are not mass-produced-articles.

And my work is far away from the "ethno-kitsch" furniture dealers like to sell.

Every picture is the outcome of a long process: reflections about sociology and

psychology, art history, exhibitions and current events. And then, last, but not least,

the intuition when I handle with the concret colours and forms of all those

different elements, which I try to melt to one consistent picture work.

Nicht nur meine expressive Farbgebung, die an die Künstler der Brücke erinnert,

spricht viele Kunstinteressierte an.

(my own word: a mixture out of Rhythm and Rhizome = rootstock,

von Heilpflanzen. Der Begriff findet sich auch prägnant in der Philosophie.

Nevertheless my pictures are not expensive, just because I still sell them only here,

on my homepage, without any gallery. But I rethink this, because people seldom

have the courage to buy pictures of an unknown artist in the internet.

But of course, you can be sure: I know a lot about the problems. Therefore I have

found many practical solutions and I never stop searching for even better ones.

My German mixture-word even includes, that these stalagmites are made from "Stahl" = steel.

But I ignore, that they in fact would be stalagtites = Stalagtiten. If you look precisely,

you will recognize, that they seem to fall down from the ceiling of the "Tube-Cavern".
