Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

I'm not sure, if a certain picture fits to a certain place in my flat.

I am happy about this question. Because it means: You like my pictures very much.

That's fine. Thank you. My heart and my soul need that. And the landlord will be happy, too.
You may print a small copy and fix it to the wall. So you get a feeling, if the colors of the picture fit to the surrounding subjects. And you may find out the best size, if you mark the outline on the wall with crepe paper.

Can you guarantee, that your expressive colors don't turn pale?

I work together with a professional laboratory. They work for artists, galleries and museums. And they guarantee todays best quality in digital art.

Traditional oil-colors get the colors out of pigments. And since companies produce ink for digital printers on basic of pigments, the quality is near the traditional colors. Now the ink-producing companies (Epson, Canon) guarantee brilliance for up to 100 years.

But to be honest: every picture ages and even museums have their problems with that. Dust, pollution, humidity and light attack the colors. And if you place a picture into direct sunlight or right above the oven, it might get pale earlier. On the other hand: I'm sure, your taste will change in 10 or 20 years.

Printing, mounting, framing. Which materials do you use?

I tried some different ways of presentation and I came to the conclusion, that the best way to present my artwork is an original photo print under acrylic glass. But if you prefer something else, just send a mail and you may get what you want.

What is the maximum size, the quality of your data accepts?

The quality of my tools is professional. My camera takes pictures in the size 5184 x 3456 pixel and I save the pictures in the format .raw. When I transform the photos, I choose TIFF instead of .jpg. Well, I think a size of 120 x 180 cm should be possible, although the maximum size I saw, was 60 x 90 cm until now.
That was an easy game.

Why did you write "artenuto.com" all over the pictures?

I try to prevent people from copying my work. If you purchase a picture, you will get it without the text.

Am I allowed to reproduce your picture, if I buy it?

Well, in difference to Microsoft and other software-companies you may sell my work as a single object, for example if you don't like the picture anymore. But you don't purchase the right to any reproduction of the original image, which is retained by the artist.

Your pictures are too expensive.

Yes. Sorry. I know, if you buy a picture at IKEA (for example), it is much cheaper. And I swear, if I could, I would give my work as a present to everyone. This would make me really happy.

At first it's a case of mass production and individualism. Second I am not Amazon, ebay or google, who mumbo-jumbo their profit away, so that they don't have to pay any taxes. (By the way: I think taxes are necessary. We all take our profit from the infrastructure in the industrial countries. Therefore I try to avoid to deal with those tax-"saving"-companies.) Third it is expensive to buy all that professional equipment, that makes a good quality in the end. The fourth point is: if you look at the prices of the professional photo-laboratories, you will find out, that they get the most of it. And from the difference I have to pay consumer-tax at once and income-tax at the end of the year.
